Mens T20 vs Littlehampton
A glorious evening with the debut of our new T20 kit, skipper lost the toss meaning we were bowling first.
A great start by the openers restricting littlehampton to a slow start and a smart catch in front of the camera by fozzy saw littlehampton lose their first wicket, followed by another good grab by H.Grant off the bowling of H.Reed. A smart direct hit from the skipper A.White saw littlehampton reduced to 40-3, our very own overseas Jean-Louis was the pick of the bowlers with 3-15 off his 4 overs proving that bowling straight takes wickets. Littlehampton finished on 116 off their 20 overs.
A.White & H.Grant opened the batting, didn't get off to a great start with A.White falling 3rd ball thinking he still had his eye in from saturday. C.Drake came to the crease and him and H.Grant put on a quick 42 before C.Drake (24) was bowled with what was apparently the straightest ball he has ever faced, but also what could have been one of the slowest!!
A.Bateman (9) and S.Grant (11) both chipped in, H.grant then loosing his wicket for 37 before A.foster (18no) and J.Edwards (6no) saw the gate cruise to a 5 wicket win with 4 overs to go.
A great start to the Sussex slam competition.
