Despite having a couple of changes to the team due to holidays, it was still a confident team that went out to face Aldwick in their return fixture this week.
A confident captain (Will) won the toss and elected to bowl.
Their confidence was matched by the Aldwick players and despite some very good bowling Aldwick were soon mounting up the runs.
Eastergate u15s kept their cool, they fielded tightly, communicating well, and this excellent team work allowed them to keep Aldwick to 88 runs off their 10 overs - a very chasable score.
Will had a game plan - well, a batting order plan, and all appeared to be well, with 17 runs off their first over, the communication they had demonstrated as fielders carried through to their batting and they edged up towards the 88 that Aldwick had put on.
With a couple of wickets against us, and one of our team retiring, all 6 players got to bat. On the 3rd ball of over 9 a fumble by Aldwick keeper meant the winning runs were scored.
Another brilliant win for the u15s. Communication and playing as a team really do pay off.
